Trefula House staff and residents recently celebrated World Cultural Diversity Day.

First declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 2002, World Cultural Diversity Day celebrates not only the richness of the world’s cultures, but also the essential role of intercultural dialogue for achieving peace and sustainable development.

Residents enjoyed a variety of different foods, provided by staff representing a range of cultures. They also performed dances enabling them to share their backgrounds and teach a little about their culture.

The day was enjoyed by all and a great way of celebrating our people.
