Corserv Care’s Day Opportunities team are pleased to share that the Echo Centre has been nominated for a Chief Allied Health Professions Officer’s (CAHPO) Award 2024.
CAHPO Award nominations can be made for all members of the Allied Health Professions (AHP) community, including support workers, assistant practitioners, registered professionals, pre-registration apprentices, and students. Nominations can be made by their peers or by themselves, to receive recognition for their personal contributions towards delivery of exceptional care for patients.
The awards also promote adoption and dissemination of good practice being delivered by nominated AHPs, and give teams the chance to review their work and look at the impact they have made to services.
The Echo Project is a joint pilot project the team delivered alongside the community neuro team last year, at the Echo Centre - a day centre for people with acquired neurological disorders (for example following a stroke), helping them to get back their independence. The aim of the centre is to reduce their carer needs, lower their use of NHS services and use more voluntary services. They have been nominated for the AHP Innovation and Improvement within Integrated Care Systems Award 2024 – awarded by NHS England.
This award recognises those who have relentlessly focused on driving quality improvement in their work and who have been strong advocates for quality improvement.
The CAHPO Awards will be hosted virtually on the evening of Thursday 10 October.
