Care home

We provide residential care at our Trefula House care home.

Trefula House care home is a converted and extended farm house set in landscaped gardens in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is in the parish of Vogue in St Day, near Redruth, Cornwall.

Trefula House provides nursing, including specialised dementia care, for up to 43 older people.  It includes a 20-bed dementia unit, 12 of which are en-suite, catering for people with varying support needs. There are a further 24 beds in the main house which are all single rooms, 3 of which are en-suite.

The management and staff of Trefula House are committed to enhancing the lives of the residents and provide person-centred care and support.

The home has well-tended gardens, where the residents have secure access to outside spaces including an area which has been specially adapted for people with dementia.

Corserv’s care business, which also runs Care and Support and STEPS, took over the running of the home when it was purchased by Cornwall Council in August 2019, after a critical care quality commission (CQC) report. Corserv has taken a number of steps to quickly improve standards, including recruiting a highly-experienced manager and specialist clinical staff. It will also be undertaking a refurbishment programme.
