Opportunity to gain qualifications Level 2, 3, 4 & 5 in Health & Social Care for those looking to develop further in the business.
Lead to Succeed qualification programme endorsed by Skills for Care. This is a five day programme based both in the classroom and practically based for those who are looking to develop their careers within Corserv Care.
Opportunity to become a champion in Oral Healthcare.
For non-Care staff, the opportunity to gain qualifications outside of Care e.g. IOSH and Admin based qualifications.
Plus specific induction training:
Induction training for Community teams:
The initial induction training takes place over a 12 week period.
The induction is integrated with the Care Certificate, which covers key CQC information.
During induction you will receive training on a number of areas including – Moving Handling, Medication, Safeguarding, Basic First Aid training.
You will be provided with the opportunity to enrol on the Apprenticeship Level 2, upon completion of the Care Certificate and Induction.
Training provided technology relevant to being able to perform the role including Apps e.g.Total Mobile.
All new staff will be shadowed until competent in their roles. During this period observation is provided from a Senior Support Worker and Community Care Supervisor. We always try to use a consistent person for the shadowing element of the induction.
During induction all new staff will receive supervision on a weekly basis. Continuous feedback and support is provided until people are competent.
Induction training for Trefula House:
New staff will complete the Care certificate that covers the mandatory training required to complete the role
On their first day the new staff member will be provided with a review of their job role and profile, rota, sickness recording and reporting, breaks, uniform and a tour of the house.
