What do you need to become a carer? 

The main quality we look for in our team is a positive attitude and a caring nature - we can provide all the support and training you need.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills 
  • Full driving licence that's valid to drive in the UK and be able to drive/access a vehicle for this position 
  • Current right to work in the UK 
  • Basic IT Skills 
  • and optionally, a NVQ Level 2 in care or equivalent and/or an understanding of reablement and care provision 

What we can offer you: 

Pay & Hours:

  • Competitive, guaranteed permanent part time hours/full time hours (14 – 37/week), or Bank Shift zero hours contract.
  • Shift Pattern: A choice of various rotas depending on your needs. You will have a regular Week A/Week B rolling rota to help promote a healthy work-life balance, and for ease of mind. Shifts start at 7am to 1pm and 4pm to 9pm/10pm, with mandatory every other weekend working. 
  • Time & half enhancement on Bank Holiday’s, PLUS a day back in TOIL.
  • Travel and contact time paid

What happens next?

  • Following submission of your application form/CV you will be contacted by a member of the Care team for an informal chat. Following this conversation, if we feel that you are someone who could become a member of your team you will be invited to attend interview at a date and time that is convenient with you
  • Attendance at interview. As part of this process you will be required to bring along certificates, ID (picture ID) so we can check your right to work in the UK
  • Following a successful interview we will make a verbal offer, ASAP after the interview has taken place. The verbal offer will then be followed up in writing with a formal written offer and new joiner pack  
  • The Onboarding team will then contact you regarding the DBS check, references, bank details and Occupational Health
  • Your line manager will keep in touch with you to confirm your start date at Corserv Care
